An exiting time ahead for Jaguar Pack as the Cubs work for
various badges including home safety,
personal safety including fire awareness
with a demonstration of how to use a fire extinguisher - highlight of this term
will be a most 'eggciting' evening with decorated
hard boiled eggs for our annual egg rolling contest
Held at Cliffe on Saturday - the Team from Jaguar Pack did a fantastic job and
brought home the team trophy - a BIG WELL DONE from Akela, Raksha, Chil, Rama,
Kaa and Baghera who were there to cheer on the runners - thanks also to the
parents who stayed to support the youngsters.
Jaguar Pack celebrated St Patrick's day at their Cub
Meeting yesterday - most of the Cubs and Leaders dressed up for the occasion and
played Irish games, did a bit of map reading 'in Ireland' and three of the Cubs
gained their cooks badge by cooking a lovely supper consisting of Irish stew,
soda bread, green onion scones and Guinness (not really on the Guinness!!!)
All of the food soon disappeared so we assume it was yummy.
Happy St Patrick's Day from Jaguar Pack
What a state the Cubs got themselves into at the woods
yesterday - after they had collected wood for the fire off they went to play -
to say that they got really muddy is an understatement - good hunting - Akela
Jaguar Pack enjoyed a great night hike
when once again we decided where we should walk by the roll of a big dice -
we also had a few scary moments when the Cubs had to walk through a dark field
alone - thanks to all the leaders for a great time and an extra thanks to Gary
& Kanga who cooked our supper when we arrived back at the hall!!!

Jaguar Pack enjoyed a great, but very
cold, evening at The National Sea Training College where they were taught about
how fire start and what to do to put them out - we also saw the devastating
effect of pouring water on a chip pan fire - PHEW. A BIG thank you to Tony our
instructor for the evening and to Baloo for setting up the evening - great.
Jaguar pack has just lost lots of its
Sixers and Seconders as they reached 10 1/2 and time to move on. Most of these
have now been invested into our Scout Troop; however, this left the Cub Pack
with a need for new Sixers and Seconders. Once new Cubs had been picked, they
were trained in their roles and responsibilities as leaders. Click
