Matthew Beaver Scout Colony came a
respectable third place in the Strood District Cross Country races - it was a
cold and windy day but all of the Beavers did really well says Roo
The Beaver Scouts of both Luke &
Matthew Colonies did really well on the sponsored silence - they all managed to
stay silent for a full fifteen minutes - quite a feat for 27 six & seven
year olds - they were raising money for Sarah (our Scout who is going to the
World Jamboree) -Total cash raised from the Beaver
sponsored silence is £295 which is to be paid into help our scout Sarah attend
the world jamboree in thailand
As part of the Beaver
Scout Challenge Badge 7 members of Matthew Colony went to the woods along with
their Leaders and a couple of Jaguar's Sixers to cook lunch on fires - all
came home very dirty & very tired but all had a great day - greetings
from Roo
The Beavers of Matthew Colony enjoyed
learning about the bells and bell tower in our church at their last meeting.
All of the Beavers and Leaders would like to thank Geoff and Fred for showing
them round and allowing them to ring the bells - noisy little Beavers
Some of the Beavers are looking forward to taking part in the district cross
country races to be held in the very near future - watch this space for results
